The Brief

‍Having lived on a houseboat in Bath for many years, our clients wanted to design a brand new boat to bring more comfort and modern amenities to their daily lives. With a view to retiring and living on the boat for many years to come, the layout had to allow for visitors to stay onboard in comfort and for daily life to feel as luxurious as in a modern house. With a fixed budget in mind, these clients wanted to customise everything from our standard range rather than choosing any upgraded options.

The design

Saloon / Galley

‍These clients chose our most popular galley layout, maximising storage space and allowing for a generous dining table for 4 people with a beautiful feature lighting above. The integrated gas oven, microwave, hob, wine fridge, fridges, freezers and washer/dryer all fit perfectly within the layout and the generous saloon with diesel stove and integrated TV is the perfect place to relax.

Bedrooms

‍Two generous double bedrooms feature under-bed storage and full width wardrobes, complemented by upholstered headboards, beautiful wall lighting, and window treatments. The addition of a desk/vanity area in the second bedroom allows this space to be used for working from home or for visitors to use this space as vanity area.

Bathroom

‍This bathroom includes a full sized bath as well as a separate shower with plenty of built in storage and our stunning Hampton bathroom lighting and tiling. With underfloor heating and blackout blinds as standard, the bathroom feels really functional as well as being beautiful.

Anna’s Thoughts

I love the neutral colour palette on this boat—soft greys, limed oak joinery and subtle tones create a beautifully calm feel. With so many customisable options, every boat is unique and can be designed with our clients to suit their personal style perfectly and this one is a great example.
